About Me
Hi, I’m Nicolas Ghion, I’m 29 years old, and I’m currently building a life between countries.
My journey into living abroad didn’t start with a perfect plan. It started with a feeling. The feeling that staying in one place, following a fixed path, wasn’t enough for me. I didn’t just want to travel for a few days or weeks. I wanted to understand what it really means to live abroad, to wake up in a different country and slowly make it feel like home.
Today, my life moves between places, cultures, and routines. Part of my time is in Italy, part of it is in Poland, and in between there is everything that comes with this kind of lifestyle. Adapting, restarting, learning how to belong without fully belonging anywhere. This is what a real life abroad looks like, far from the idealized version you often see online.
This blog was born from that experience. I wanted to create a space where I could share what living abroad actually means, beyond the surface. Not just the excitement of discovering new places, but also the uncertainty, the small wins, the identity shifts, and the moments where you question everything. Because moving abroad is not just a logistical change, it is a personal transformation.
Through my story, I share reflections, experiences, and insights for anyone who feels the same pull. Maybe you are thinking about moving abroad, maybe you are already living in a different country, or maybe you are simply looking for a different way to approach life and travel. This space is for people who feel that there is more than one way to live.
Over time, I’ve come to believe that you don’t need to choose one version of your life forever. You can change countries, change routines, and change direction. Living abroad teaches you that home is not always a place, but something you build over time, wherever you decide to stay.
If you’ve ever felt the desire to leave, to start over, or to explore a different version of yourself, you’re in the right place.
